Playlists

NiPa Player supports three formats:
1. Xtream Codes — Enter your server URL, username, and password.
2. M3U URL — Paste a direct link to an M3U or M3U8 playlist file.
3. M3U File — Import a local .m3u or .m3u8 file from your device (mobile only).
1. Open the app and tap "Add Playlist".
2. Choose the format tab (Xtream Codes, M3U URL, or M3U File).
3. Enter a name and the required credentials or URL.
4. Tap "Add Playlist" — the app will validate your credentials and load the content.
Yes! You can add unlimited playlists and switch between them from Settings > All Playlists.
Go to Settings > All Playlists and tap the playlist you want to use. Tap "Set as Active" to switch.
Go to Settings, find your playlist, and tap "Update Playlist". This will re-download all channels and categories from the server.
This means your IPTV subscription with your provider has expired. Contact your IPTV service provider to renew your credentials.
Yes — go to Settings > All Playlists, tap the reorder icon, and drag playlists into your preferred order.
🔍

Content Browsing

Content is organized into three main sections:
• Live TV — Live streaming channels, organized by categories (Sports, News, Entertainment, etc.)
• Movies — Video on Demand (VOD) movies with poster art, synopsis, cast info, and trailers.
• Series — TV series organized by seasons and episodes.
Tap the search icon (🔍) from the main menu. You can search across all content types — live channels, movies, and series — at once. Recent searches are saved for quick access.
When you stop watching a movie or series episode midway, it appears in the "Continue Watching" section on the main menu. Tap it to resume exactly where you left off.
The "Recently Added" section shows content that was most recently added to your playlist by your IPTV provider.
Yes! Within each content section (Live TV, Movies, Series), long-press a category or use the reorder button to customize the order. You can sort A-Z, Z-A, or manually drag categories.

Video Player

• Tap the screen to show/hide controls.
• Play/Pause button in the center.
• Seek bar (for movies and series) — drag to jump to a specific time.
• 10-second skip — buttons to skip forward or backward.
• Back arrow to exit the player.
On mobile devices:
• Swipe up/down on the right side of the screen to adjust volume.
• Swipe up/down on the left side of the screen to adjust brightness.
Yes! In the player settings (gear icon), choose from: Auto (Original), 16:9, 4:3, or Fill Screen.
Yes! For movies and series (not live TV), you can adjust playback speed from 0.25x to 2.0x via the player settings.
In the player settings, set a sleep timer (15, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes). The player will automatically pause when the timer expires. The remaining time is shown on screen.
Yes! Tap the settings icon (⚙️) in the player to access audio tracks and subtitles. Switch between available languages or enable/disable subtitle tracks.
On Android, when you leave the player while a stream is playing, the video automatically continues in a small floating window (PiP). You can continue using other apps while watching.
While watching a live channel, swipe up/down (or use the channel drawer) to switch between channels in the same category. On Android TV, use the D-pad up/down arrows or press right to open the channel drawer.
NiPa Player has a smart retry system: it automatically retries the stream, then tries alternative stream URLs if available. If all URLs fail, you'll see an error message with a Retry button.
Yes! When you're near the end of a series episode, a "Next Episode" overlay appears with a countdown. The next episode starts automatically unless you cancel.
📡

EPG (TV Guide)

The Electronic Program Guide (EPG) shows a visual timeline of what's currently playing, what's coming up, and what has aired on your live TV channels — similar to a traditional TV guide grid.
From the Live TV section, tap the "TV Guide" tab at the top of the screen.
Yes! Tap any upcoming program in the TV Guide and select "Remind Me". You'll receive a push notification when the program is about to start. Reminders work even when the app is closed.
The EPG data depends on your IPTV provider. If your provider doesn't include EPG data, the TV Guide will show "No program guide available." This is not a NiPa Player issue — contact your provider.

Troubleshooting

1. Check your internet connection.
2. Verify your playlist credentials — go to Settings, edit your playlist, and re-enter your credentials.
3. Update your playlist — go to Settings and tap "Update Playlist" to re-download channel data.
4. Check your IPTV provider — the issue may be on their end.
Check your internet speed — IPTV streaming requires a stable connection (10+ Mbps recommended). Try switching to a wired connection if on Android TV. Some channels may have higher bitrates that require faster connections.
After updating a playlist, go back to the main menu and navigate to Live TV, Movies, or Series. Your channels should be there organized by categories. Try using Search to find specific content.
Go to Settings > Help & Feedback to send us an email directly from the app. You can also reach us at dev@nipaplayer.com. We typically respond within 24 hours.
